Allentown Farms and Ranches

Looking for Allentown Farms and Ranches

Being a horse lover and needing the country feeling has prompted me to remind y'all about the wonderful farms and ranches we have in this beautiful part of the country.

There is nothing like the feeling of waking up on a crisp and chilly morning, getting dressed in your riding gear and heading out to the stable yard. When you put your head in the barn door you see all the horses looking over their gates whinnying at you to get their food. And then the beautiful sound of the horses playing with their feed, chomping and drinking. Magnificent - its just a beautiful lifestyle!

Imagine saddling your horse and mounting and heading out onto your own farm or along the farm bridle paths and getting the freedom and space you so deserve. Nothing in the world can beat that feeling! A little canter, a walk through the rivers and back across the field and return to the yard. No better way to start your day!

Are you hankering for the farm lifestyle? Do you want to keep a horse or a few, maybe some cattle or sheep? Maybe you want to plant and grow vineyards or cultivate fruit trees or berries? I know that need to find that perfect farm, a place to put your own mark on and feel the earth beneath your feet.

Let me show you some farms in the area, see if this is the lifestyle you really do need.

Lehigh Valley Gardening

Lehigh Valley Gardening

One of the great things about living in the Lehigh Valley area and rural PA is the change of seasons. But with that comes challenges in landscaping. Lehigh Valley Gardening was a recent topic Faith Brenneisen addressed in an interview with The Morning Call discussing what plants and landscaping options to consider regarding home value and curb appeal.

In the article, Faith stated, "People like continuous-blooming hydrangeas and knockout roses, which are hardy, low-growing and deliver profuse, continuous blossoms. New azaleas bloom twice a year, and they're great, but even the once-a-year types are very popular,"

Faith also stated that, "as with any home improvements, landscape upgrades should be consistent with neighborhood values. And the gardening requirements shouldn't become too demanding." Buyers like pretty, well maintained yards, but they also don't want to be burdened by it.

Choosing the right plants can make a difference when selling your home. Many people don't think about this when they are gardening. Check with one of these local Lehigh Valley Gardening experts while you are planning and growing. Let them guide you to the plants, trees and shrubs that are not only visually appealing, but also low maintenance and tolerant to our seasonally changing climate.
